This is my first large project with the new wool available from Jamieson and Smith’s Heritage range. It is nice to knit and I look forward to wearing this garment when complete.

All six colours available in Shetland Heritage are in this project. I look forward to seeing the new colours that will be added later this year to the Shetland Heritage range .

Hood almost done now and I have only to cut the steek on it and get the finishing done around the edges. I have already sewn in the ends on the body and just the sleeves and hood ends to weave in. Nearly there and I am on holiday, so shouldn’t be too long now.

• Please note there are now more colours available in this wool range at Jamieson and Smith as they have added another five colours at least to the range. Happy days - it is lovely wool.

I have finished it now and it is on the jumper board being blocked. The wool has stretched fine with the washing so it has grown slightly more than I thought it might - this is fine as I like things generous. I will keep it under wraps until I have it photographed by someone wearing it. That’ll be soon.

30/10/2019 - the OXO patterns used in this design have been used in my first pattern published in a book - by the Shetland Guild of Spinners, Knitters, Weavers and Dyers here in the isles.
