This hat has been made mostly from Jamieson’s Shetland jumper weight wool. I have made a couple of these and when I went to do the second one couldn’t get an exact colour match for one of the darkest colours as it is no longer made - I was using up oddments in my basket when I did the first. However, it isn’t noticed when I had them both completed as it is so slight a difference. I have been asked to knit these colours into a jumper, so is on my ‘to do list’ for this autumn and winter - 2012/2013. A male colleague/friend wanted this hat for when out walking his dog in the wilds of Yell - so it’s named after him.
I won second prize for this hat at the Voe show yesterday, 4/8/12, for me that’s brilliant!
