A colleague asked me to make their teenage son a pair of Fair Isle fingerless gloves in the West Ham colours for their forthcoming birthday. I searched online for the colours and the wool shops of Jamieson and Smith and Jamieson’s for the best colour match. The deep scarlet is from J & S and the blue is from Jamieson’s (thank you to the lasses at Jamieson’s for helping me to find the best colour match - there are so many to see!).
Sizing was done by adding in a bit more loops as all the patterns I have are for women - and the football mad men (four sons and husband) have all given their approval of the colours I have used, so I really hope they are liked by Shaun when he gets them next month!
