This cardigan is worked from the top down without any seams – easy to knit and suitable for less experienced knitters.
The flying feathers pattern creates a beautiful and flattering A-line shape at the back.
Choose from shaping options for a wide A-line or slight A-line and knit to the length that fits you best.
Work the front band with buttons or without – just as you prefer.
Women’s XS – S – M – L – XL – XXL
Finished Bust (buttoned): 83-90-99-109-117-127cm / 33-36-40-44-47-51”
Intended to be worn with 5cm/2” positive ease. See page 2 for schematic and measurements.
Any yarn suitable for specified gauge (heavy fingering or sport weight, approximately 130-165m/50g)
Sample was knitted in DROPS Alpaca (165m/50g), size M with wide A-line and long body version
Estimated yardage: approximately 1000-1080-1190-1310-1400-1520m / 1100-1190-1310-1440-1540-1670yds
Differences in gauge and yarn choice may affect the amount of yardage used.
3.5mm/US 5 or size needed for gauge: 80-100cm/32-40” circular and dpn’s (optional);
stitch markers, tapestry needle, optional: 4 buttons (or as many as you wish)
