I fell in love with this cardi when I open the latest Vogue knitting. I will be knitting a mini-version for DD#2, since she is the only girl in the household who will wear it!
4/4 Finally started working on the back! 67 sts (8 lace repeats), 2.75mm needles (since my 3mm are used by DD).
4/18 The fronts and back are done. I am modifying the front - I will (attempt to) put in a zipper, so the fronts are narrower than in the description (44 sts each). I used up one skein for the fronts, and almost one full skein for the back.
5/10 Sadly, my estimate that I may get away with only two skeins was completely delusional, and when I came back for two more the store had only one left. So I have only one skein for the sleeves and the hood. To be as economical as possible, I am making the hood with the same mesh as the sleeves, but I still ran out of yarn. Since I am too lazy to reknit the hood, I am improvising the alternative design, using the swatch. Really hoping it will work.

5/13 Finished! Right now it is too big for DD, but this is ok, since who knows how much she grows over the summer. :) I have changed the front to have a zipper - I am really happy with that, it makes it look much more professional. The yarn and the pattern have a lot of stretch, so I am hoping DD will be able to wear it for couple years.
