Bob, a co-worker with my husband, and a friend, turns 50 this weekend and it is a bit of a problem to find him a suitable present. So I turned to knitting him this hat. The yarn is from my stash; He is fond of purples, so I can knit up my two leftover balls of Rowan Cashsoft DK. I am holding the yarn double. For the contrast colour I’ve chosen a soft blue green, but I will need to buy more of that, or I have to add a 3rd colour.

Had to use another contrast colour for the last few rows, but the result is good. A very warm hat and a super quick knit.
My gauge was a bit tight, holding the yarn double, but after blocking it seems to be fine.
