Notes

Improvised my own pattern for a reusable produce bag.

This fishnet bag can be used for vegetable & fruit shopping to place produce in and then store it directly in the fridge.

It will save me from using plastic or paper bags - plastic is just bad for the environment and although paper can be recycled, it is better not to use up unnecessary resources (like trees to make paper).

The yarn is some vintage cotton (charity shop find).

PATTERN:

for size Small (finished bag is approximately 19x24 cm).
This is made working back/forth not in the round.

Start with (25x3) + 3 chains.
Proceed with some rows in double chain to give the bag some strength. I did 3 rounds.
Continue in fishnet / filet squares until you almost reach the desired depth for the bag.
Then do some rows of double chains.
When you reach the desired depth, continue mirroring what done for the first part/side - do not break the yarn, just continue on like a long stripe that will then be folded at half of its length.
Then join the sides with one row of chains, followed by one row of DC.
