Notes

I named this project Endeavor becuase I cast on and ripped back at least a dozen times, each time somehow ending up with the wrong stitch count when I got to the first eyelet section. Finally I realized that the scarf is a multiple of 2 AND a multiple of 3 + 8; that is, the cast on number has to be a number that is divisible by both 2 and by 3, plus and additional 8 stitches for the edging and bias shaping. Once I had that figured out, things were all downhill. I’m posting that info here in the event that it might help others.

Other than the lack of info about stitch count multiples, I found the pattern very thorough and well written. I like the variety of repeats, it makes for an interesting knitting experience and overall design. The pattern was easy enough to accomplish quickly yet still not so brainless as to not keep me on my toes. I could see knitting this again, and that’s not something I say about most patterns.

Went from about 5.5” wide to 7” during blocking without even a severe stretch. The yarn opens up nicely. Almost 8’ long tip to tip.
The color and bias construction also reminded me of my previous Shackleton scarf and cowl, so the name seemed appropriate.
