06.01.2020 - While the photo of my finished afghan isn’t the best, it does sow that it’s done. I’ll try to take better pictures later. It was awkward to take a photo in the wind. I’ve been knitting for decades and this has been my all-time favorite project.

05.18.20 - Finally, all of the hexagons are complete and have been kitchenered into place. I only have the border to do, which will be an attached i-cord, inspired by cruelgirl’s afghan.

06.01.16 - 6 left to finish! I set the afghan aside for a while but it’s time to pick it up and continue.

05.23.15 - Finished Chart #21. 16 hexagons completed and grafted together - 8 left to do, plus the border.

02.15.15 - For the contrasting colors I’ve used fingering/sock yarns from my stash as well as some new ones. Some of these are:

09.07.14 - After an earlier false start with a black background that I didn’t love I’ve restarted with the Tosh Sock background yarn and brighter colors and I’m much happier with the results. I plan to look at the bright and bold colors of Talavera pottery (e.g. as in the bottom picture) for inspiration for the afghan colors.
