I ended up not liking the doll pattern I bought. And, it turns out that a doll isnt so hard to knit from the air :) I used my current favourite contiguous sleeve method and knit her top down to the bum, knit the arms all the way down (but didnt join the underarms to aid in stuffing) then knit two legs toe up with short row heels. The head has a short row nose and the bum has two short row cheeks. I felted it all a bit (could have felted more tbh), stuffed and sewed it together. A bit of sculpting for the nose and head, and an embroidered face completed Ida’s new little friend. I just finished knitting her a little dress to match Ida’s Simple Dress, which also uses the contiguous sleeve method.

Now Martin wants one too ;)
