9 mm glass Crow beads.

I originally started this project using beads from Crazy Crow Trading Post item# 8523-009-080 (transparent red) $8/100 + sh

Oct 6: Although the red beads looked ok with this yarn, they just were not wowing me. So back to the bead supplies. This time I have picked out some opaque red-orange beads. I’ve ripped what I did and will restart with this new bead color.

from Crazy Crow Trading Post item# 8520-009-081 (the Crazy Crow catalog just calls these “red”, but I would describe these as definitely on the warm side of red e.g. red-orange, rather than a pure red)

Oct 7: I like the new beads and have caught up again to where I was before I ripped out yesterday. Liking this better and going smoothly now.

Unblocked width 4”.

Finger-blocked width 5”. (outer measurements of scallops along edges)

Pleasing reversibility. The beads are equally prominent on both the right side and wrong side.
