I saw a posting for EASY TASSEL BASKET on Gabi’s TurtleLoom.com website. I was desperate for a Spring project so I pulled out my largest hexagon pin loom and wove three pieces using some Paton’s Class Wool (worsted weightJ I love to felt my weavings when complete and I knew I had some sparkly buttons so I added those instead of making tassels.

The first basket has each hexagon woven with Paton’s Magnolia colorway (sadly now discontinued)…but when I started the second one with Paton’s Seabreeze ombre, I decided to weave the center needle woven section with a solid color (Aquarium) to have a contrast with the basket flap and body.

After felting my baskets are about 3.5” at the top opening and 2” tall.
