I wanted to make some special valentine cards but have no drawing ability. When I found a heart design among Hazel Rose’s projects, I got inspired.
I got out my 4” weavette loom and dug out all “appropriate” yarn colors from my stash and started weaving.
The woven squares are simply “laced” onto greeting card stock. I started off measuring exact placement but after a couple of cards, I decided I could just position the square, mark the four corners with a pencil. I then poked holes with a sharp needle and then threaded a length of yarn (about 15”) and simply caught each corner stitch of the square. When all four corners were secured, I tied a simple bow.
I am pleased with the results and plan to make more non-holiday cards.
