Round 7 of the pattern should read: *K1, M1R, K5, M1L, K1, rep from * to end. 18 sts total.

My own edits:
~I knit the pattern as is and also knit it replacing the M1R & M1L with KFB and I feel the KFB looks much better.
~Because I’m giving these key cozies as gifts, on Round 12, I Knit every stitch. I then wove the tail into the remaining stitches and tacked everything to an index card with instructions to insert key, pull the yarn tail (remaining stitches) tight, and then weave in the tail.
