Birthday yarn!

I love the shape of this sweater, but plan to make it short sleeved. I only have 3 skeins but I’m pretty confident it will be fine.

Gauge swatch on US5 gave me 24 sts x 36 rows = 4”. I dont want to use more yarn for another swatch so I’m just going with US6 for Needle A, US5 for Needle B.

Modimistaketion- went to a modified version of the 3x1 ribbing (skipped the p rounds) and I love it so I’m leaving it!

Short sleeved mods: cast on 70 sts.
Rnd 1: p all
Rnd 2: p1, k1 tbl to end
Place marker. Join in the round.
Repeat rnd 2 until ribbing measures 1/2” (1-2 rounds only)
Switch to larger needles.
Work 1x1 shadow rib until sleeve measures 1 3/4”.

I think this may be my most favorite knitted garment thus far. I absolutely love it. Comfy yet stylie, casual yet easy to dress up, this piece will go with literally anything. I’m super pleased with how the yarn paired with the pattern, too. I thought I would have critical comments for myself, and while it is not perfect (my work, that is - the pattern is written beautifully), I really have no criticisms (at least not yet! ).

I also have about a 1/2 skein leftover… I feel like I should make some little insignificant-yet-totally-perfect matching accessory. Ideas welcome!
