01-28-2008: Lisa has posted a few pictures with the hat. Check them out.

12-18-2007: Finished the hat tonight and took it over to the Miller’s house to take some pictures of Hattie modeling it. It is super cute and she is monstrously adorable in it. Hope to post the pictures tomorrow.

12-14-2007: What fun this little hat has turned out to be! I really need to get pictures posted.

I’ve finished the helmet, the wings, and one braid. One braid left to go then I’ll sew the braids and wings onto the hat and let Lisa take a thousand pictures of babies wearing it!

12-6-2007: My friend Lisa Maksoudian is an accomplished photographer and has built a successful niche with infants. So when she saw this kit online, she knew exactly which baby she wanted to shoot in it. The only problem: she doesn’t knit! But I’m happily knitting it for her. In addition to being happy to do her a favor, this hat involves 3 of my favorite things: knitting (d’uh!), Wagner’s Ring of the Nibelung operas (the ride of the Valkyries), and babies. Plus she’s letting me keep the pattern! How could I say no?
