Have modified construction by joining far edge of each binding strip with a two needle cast off, rather than hand stitching. Saves time, and the small ridge that is created is not overly noticeable, particularly as I’m making this with the intention of it being “one way up” rather than reversible. If you wanted it to be properly reversible, I’d still recommend a hand stitched join.

Completed March 2013, but took me three months to get around to weaving in the ends (my least favourite job).
