19.11.15 Oh my God, this is a bugger to knit. You start off great guns but then of course each row gets longer and loooonger until you lose the will to live. Or at least pick up your pins…….

20.12.15 Finally finished, have to say did not find this an enjoyable knit. Maybe because half way through I showed the mother of the person I had intended this for and she was, well, less than enthusiastic. So that totally put me off the Christmas present idea. Also it’s felt like a mammoth knit and I’m not convinced the intended recipient would appreciate it. So think it’s going to be for me instead!

Mods - I would stagger the change from the first 3 eyelet patterns to the main part (you go from 11 to 13 eyelets, I’d add in a 12).
