1/22/2014 First day off in a while. Turns out, it is also a snow day and less than 20 degrees outside. Great day for knitting while watching Stargate SG-1. Photos are progress at end of 1st ball of yarn…part way through row 47.
9/27/2014 work has been sporadic. Halfway through row 81. Picture with glasses for scale. Have started using two circs…one 40 in and one 60 in. Have determined that no matter what, I will do at least 1 row per day. As of 8 am today, I have done three. Will put it down for a bit at end of this row. Weight of project and chunky yarn are tough on my hands. I think I am about to finish the third ball of yarn.
1/12/2015 Well the one row a day goal has not held. I am halfway through row 113 and can no longer lay the blanket out flat even on two circular needles. Approx 25 in radius at this point. Three quarters of the way through the sixth ball of yarn.

Finally finished and blocked. Much delayed by needing new needles and the great half and half debacle of spring 2019. About 5.5 ft square. Smaller than I wanted…maybe I should have gone up a couple of needle sizes. Blocking to be ready for gift giving on Christmas Eve. Let’s not talk about the fact it took over 6 years to make. Someone remind me if I ever get the idea to knit a blanket of this size with this weight yarn, to crochet instead. So much time spent moving the stitches around the circulars…2 60inch size 10s btw.
