The yarn for this project came from Loop, when they moved to their current location in Camden Passage they had a fabulous opening day event, the shop was thronged with people, it was such a brilliant atmosphere.

In the Loop gift bag I was given, were some small skeins of wonderful hand dyed yarns, one was called Barn Owl.

The following week, I went rummaging in the local charity shop and found several skeins of unravelled cashmere jumper in lovely neutral beiges and greys.

I knitted it all up, then it languished at the bottom of my cupboard as there were a gazillion ends to sew in.

The scarf came out too narrow. I cut a steek and made two loops. I then added a couple of inches of lace to join both parts. It’s lovely now.

Both yarns came together to make this scarf which. I have sewn together into a cowl, which I think I will wear all the time as it is so soft as to be like a little bird’s feathers.
