27 Feb 2012: Cast on using backward loop method. It’s not my favourite, but I am not bothered, and I’d rather loop than do knitted on or cable cast on. It does give a very elastic cast on edge and you don’t need to guess how much yarn tail to pull before starting the cast on. Make sure you use markers to get the right cast on count and not have to fudge it when you purl that first row - ask me how I know!

Knitting on just fine. I love love love the Bugga! The small amount of fabric I have after 7 rows is quite squishy so knitting is quite enjoyable. And the colour, oh my this green is really awesome. The variegation adds interest.

28 Feb 2012:I cannot remember enjoying knitting as much as this! Great pattern and yarn combination. Nearly done with lace pattern so should be able to start the short row sections soon.

1 Mar 2012: Such an enjoyable knit. I finished the body of the shawl but still have so much yarn so I added two more rows of stockinette and then bind off. Should be done with knitting tonight so I can show it off at knit day with the Amiras tomorrow :). And I’m done!
