Notes

So excited to start this, I found the pattern yesterday and just fell in love so had to drop all other WIPs just so I could cast on for this. It’s going to be sooo soft and snuggly in the Rialto. I plan to knit it longer so I can wrap it around my neck twice, I find loose cowls always leave that gap that the wind gets under so aim to solve that! Practiced the provisional cast-on in my lunchbreak and decided I will do it using a spare cable from an interchangeable needle to make it easier to use the live stitches for kitchener at the end.

Ok so the excitement has died down a little now, I’m a little bit meh about this now. I wish I’d used bigger needles to make it looser, it’s quite tight and narrow. I might just put this in the WIP corner until I make a decision on whether to frog and start again, continue or just frog.

17 Mar. Finally decided that I really don’t like this pattern in this yarn or at this gauge so frogged it. It’s so liberating to frog something that has been languising for so long.
