I completely enjoyed every stitch of this project and learned how to add beads which was a first for me.

I did the small stockingstitch size and then the lace section is made up of ABABACDE. I added the beads just on section D, on the stitch between the yarn overs as other people have done.

How I kept track of the pattern was that I had read this “if the first stitch of your k2tog corresponds with the finished sl1 k2tog, psso of the previous pattern row then you know you are right…. you then don’t need to be counting the entire row.” So thank you to Ugliebettie on a thread on the Ishbel-along group for that tip. I also, sometimes, counted the sets of 8 on the purl rows. That sounds tedious but I actually found it quite meditative! I know I was very relaxed after working on this project anyhow so all the counting must have put me in some relaxed/meditative state. Beats counting sheep anyhow :-)

The yellow dots are blocking pins by the way…I haven’t really put yellow beads on the points!!
