Chosen as a challenging project to knit on a long journey with some 6 hour layovers in both directions. Perfectly timed as I cast off the last stitch as the plane descended at my destination on the return home.

This was a fun knit if you like lace and are able to focus and concentrate. 20 stitch repeats. I used markers so if something went wrong I wasn’t too far along. The k5tog and sl1 k4 psso decreases need careful attention to make sure you get all 5 stitches. I missed one on one of them and had to pick up the dropped stitch later and work it back into the pattern.

As it happens I could have knit a larger shawl with the yarn I had.

Given to my friend Sarah to wear on her wedding day.
