Notes

My second Distal! I used my handspun, hand dyed yarn that has been marinating in my stash for maybe 15 years! It is one ply Harlequin wool (a new breed) and one strand of Lincoln or Wensleydale, I cannot remember.

I think i used a bit more than 300 yards. I knit this bigger than the pattern, up to about 80 sts before I started to decrease. The shawl is a bit bigger and a bit heavier than the lett-lopi one. I love it! I have enough leftover yarn to maybe do mitts or a hat now.

This needs better photos to show the colors of the yarn but we are under a fog advisory so there is no sunshine for photos!
OK, I have fixed the photos now…you can see the dark red ones outdoors look like a normal color!

Also, I went back and did the optional crochet edging; I just couldn’t leave it alone! It wasn’t curling a lot but I figured that more coverage (even a centimeter more!) was a good thing in winter, so I added it.

Previous Note: I have not done the optional edging yet. Not sure this one needs it as it seems to be staying flat on its own.
