10/8--I just needed some mindless st st or something. This is absolutely perfect. I can sit in lecture and listen while keeping my hands busy. :D
10/19--This is going to be a big shawl. I love it!
10/21--Finished first skein of yarn. I’m so sad! I got this yarn from Woolcott & I found out they’re going out of business. :( I liked that store. (Of course, I had to buy a bunch of their stuff to help them out.)
10/29--Finished garter stitch square. Now for the hard part (i.e. can’t do it in lecture).
11/9--Finished first repeat of horseshoe lace chart.
12/8/09--At first, I thought my fingers were just really dirty. Now I realize the black rubs off onto my fingers. Anyway, it’ll be okay. It’s funny to see which fingers are used the most when knitting (i.e. not pinkies.) Finished second repeat of horseshoe lace chart. (That took a while…)
12/9/09--Finished third repeat of horseshoe lace chart & started second ball of yarn. Is that really only 1/2 of the yarn used? I don’t think so… I’m of course knitting with much smaller needles. Who checks gauge for shawls? Ha! :)
12/11/09--Holy shite. This yarn gets used up fast (I guess that makes sense, then, that people were actually using ~ 4 balls of yarn.) It’s also going really slow (I want to be able to do > 1 repeat of the edging pattern/day, especially on days when I have class/knitting group!) Oh well. Finished fourth repeat of horseshoe lace chart.
12/12/09--Finished final repeat of horseshoe lace.
12/13/09--This edging is taking forever!
12/15/09--Finished the 1st edge of edging.
12/16/09--Finished the 2nd edge of edging.
12/17/09--Finished the 3rd edge of the edging.
12/22/09--Finished half of the final edge while on the plane, and the other half as my boyfriend made the most delicious pizza ever.
Thank you, Mira, for all of the great pictures! :)
