02.25.12--I love the garter-stitch short rows! I normally hate them, but the way Cookie designed them to have double wraps made them less hole-y and really neat. Her method of eliminating the holes at the heel join was also pretty ingenious. Loving it so far.

02.27.12--Right sock took 0.74 g of yarn, and left sock took 0.78 g of yarn. That’s how off my gauge got in 2 days. Probably because I was studying pharmacology while knitting the first sock, and mostly listening to podcasts with the 2nd sock. Sigh. When the socks are worn, though, there isn’t as much of a noticeable difference. Blocking is definitely showing the differences, though.
