Notes

I’m completely using knittinging’s Stripey Scarf idea. I’m using the same colorway. I just don’t like slipping at the beginning and end of every other row, so I’m just slipping at the beginning of every row. I also only cast on 50 sts. Hopefully this will be a good stash buster.

When I split the yarn into 2 skeins, each was 48g. (Either my scale is nuts or yarn companies regularly take a few grams off their yarn!)

10/19/10--Note to self--this yarn is sticky! It will felt. Try not to felt it. I like how it looks so far. Using 1 skein also helps relieve the pressure of whether or not the colors will go together. Since both skeins are going in the same color repeat sequence, there doesn’t seem to be any overlap in same color, either. Yay. :)

10/21/10--I never thought 1x1 rib would be so addicting! I already made one of these, and I was addicted then. Now, I’m addicted again. This is just so satisfying. (I may even make another one.) I’m glad I’m using up this skein, too--it’s been in my stash forever. This is one of the first sock yarns I ever bought.

09/24/11--That only took about a year. ;-).
