Notes

This one will be a long project, as indicated by the name!

4/2--Finished second repeat of Boteh chart for first half of shawl.
4/5--Finished fifth repeat of Boteh chart for first half of shawl.
4/8--Finished sixth repeat of Boteh chart for first half of shawl. Love!
4/10--Finished Small Paisley Chart for the first half of shawl.
4/12--Finished first half of shawl. I had about 50 stitches left of the cast off when finishing my first ball of yarn. So close! It’s looking pretty good.
4/16--Finished first repeat of Boteh chart for second half of shawl.
4/17--Finished second repeat of Boteh chart for second half of shawl.
4/18--Finished third repeat of Boteh chart for second half of shawl.
4/22--Finished fourth repeat of Boteh chart for second half of shawl.
4/23--Finished fifth repeat of Boteh chart for second half of shawl.
4/24--Finished sixth repeat of Boteh chart for second half of shawl. Almost there! :)
4/25--Finished Small Paisley Chart for second half of shawl.
4/27--Shoot! I found a glaringly obvious mistake somewhere around the 4th repeat of the 1st half of the shawl. Argh. It’s not worth fixing, but it’ll nag me forever. (Still not worth fixing.) I have made a few blunders in this thing, but most I have successfully hidden (I think). This one--not so much. :-\
4/28--Finished Large Paisley Chart for second half of shawl.
4/29--Finished!!! Now, I just need to do the weaving, blocking, and fringing. I had about 20 stitches left of the cast-off and about 5 inches of yarn left. Argh! I had to start a new ball (see last picture). It’s okay though--I needed to start the new ball for the fringe anyway.
5/6--Blocked and added fringe--just in time for Mother’s Day!

Completed project pictures taken OUTSIDE due to Mira’s request. Yes, sunlight does make the project look much better!
