Notes

My 6 month old Grandson, Corey really loves taking a bath, so I modified the monster chunks to become bath toys. I stuffed them with cut up sponges and made a net bag to put them in so they can hang to dry after bathtime. I figured that would also be a good way to corral them when they get thrown in the washing machine.

I used the ”string bag no. 3” pattern by Ruth Stewart to make the bag, but I cast on 36 instead of the larger amount her pattern calls for, then knitted 13 repeats of the pattern before starting to decrease. Three monster chunks fit in it perfectly. Closed it with some cotton twine and a cord stop.

I tested the safety eyes and they’re too strong for me to bite off, so I’m confident he can’t. I decided to embroider the teeth rather than risk loose little pieces of felt though.
