Modifications:

-Used a provisional cast on and grafted the ends together in 2x2 rib. The third picture is a close up of the graft before blocking.

-Knit four set up rows prior to cabling instead of two. This made the graft easier and smoother. If you only have two rows the cable pulls the stitches apart from one side but not the other and it puts tension on the graft.

-Knit four rows after the final cabled row to create a full pattern repeat. I should have knit five. I thought that the graft would take the space of a row, but as you can see in the picture, it doesn’t.

Overall I’m very pleased. After blocking the missing row repeat isn’t noticeable and I can’t see the graft at all.
