“She felt one thousand years old. She also felt like maybe she was a condescending brat. She wanted her bike. She wanted her friends, who were also one-thousand-year-old condescending brats. She wanted to live in a world where she was surrounded by one-thousand-year-old condescending brats.” - The Raven King, Maggie Stiefvater
I saw this pattern, and thought it was very Blue. Simple, but strange at the same time. This is where the yarn comes in. My Mom and I wanted to use this one yarn, but it doesn’t have the yardage/meters listed, just the grams, so we went down into the yarn hangings and found this yarn to use instead. We both agreed that it was the most Blue thing we could find.
If I find anything wrong with the pattern or modify it, I will list so.

Modifications

Since I’m on Row 59, and I haven’t even used 166 yards (the pattern says that this will take 420 yards for 73 rows + loose bind off), I’m going to be extending the pattern.
-
Extended Pattern: Row 74: K3, yo rep to last 3 sts, k3 Row 75-93: Knit Row 94: K3, yo rep to last 4 sts, k4 Row 95 onward: Knit until you feel like stopping. Follow pattern for cast off.
Something I Noticed
So in this pattern there’s two sections with the same increase row (ex. K2, yo repeat till last 2 stitches, k2, next rows will be knit until you get to the increase row which will be the same row as listed above). Let me tell you on the second increase row of the same increasing of stitches, you will be left with the amount of stitches it says at the end plus one. So, if the first increase row of the two same increase rows says knit till last 2, on the second increase row of the same two increase rows, you will be left with three. It isn’t stated in the pattern, but when I expanded it, it ended up like that. When I was doing the pattern I thought I screwed up, but it just wasn’t stated and I did everything correctly. Just as a heads up. (If you’re confused by what I was talking about, you can look up at my modifications extended pattern, where it explains it waaay better then I just did)
