3 May:
I finished the first crocheted square, and even though I’d always thought crocheting was hard, it turned out nice enough - and exactly the correct size! I’m kind of impressed with myself and highly motivated to crochet on. :)

9 May:
Finished all the granny squares last night, and even though it doesn’t look difficult, I guess I’ll spend most of today getting the right number of stitches onto that stupid circular needle. I must be able to do that - I really want to start knitting!

1 June:
Ripped out a whole day’s work because I realized that the top would turn out quite transparent. Decided to knit it in garterstitch instead, but still inside out, so it will look a bit more interesting structure-wise.

6 June:
Finished! Exactly one whole skein of “ivy” is left over, and I had to make the straps a little longer, but it looks really nice (and it was such a lot of work)! Even though I love the pattern and everything, this only gets 3 stars out of 5, since the skirt turned out really tight-fitting. My only hope is that the cotton yarn will stretch a bit, or else I won’t be able to wear this outside.

NOTE TO MYSELF:
The size S turned out rather more like a size XS - so next time you want to make something from DROPS, try the size M pattern instead.
