Went up 2 needle sizes from my Test Navelli (which used 3.5) because of the colourwork.

Note to myself: the Norwegian knitting thimble rocks! It keeps my balls of yarn separate and untangled and helps me knit faster while making switching colours much easier. Just make sure to keep the dominant colour (e.g. the knit stitches in the corrugated ribbing) on the left, i.e. closer to myself, so it ends up being the looser stitch.

Note to everyone: if you ever find yourself thinking, “ah, I’ll just knit this bit of fair-isle flat”, DON’T DO IT. Not if you value your sanity. Next time I make a jumper like this (where the top part is divided in two for the armholes, the front and back knit up flat and then rejoined for the shoulders) I’ll definitely stop the colourwork before the separation, or I’ll keep it to just the bottom part (like in the original Navelli pattern).

Shoulder join: 3 needle bind-off (so much nicer to do that kitchener stitch!) over 39 stitches, 50 on hold, 39 for other shoulder.
