Notes

I love leaves in knitting, and I couldn’t help but want this whole book of patterns. I am going to teach a bunch of other knitters about twisted-stitch cables so this is a great sample. My LYS had two skeins of Arroyo left - one brown/purple, one green/yellow: autumn leaves starting to decay or new growth! It was meant to be.

Great pattern, well written, easy to follow.

Mods:
-sk2po instead of sssk - I did not prefer the way the purl bump stood out in the tippy-top of the leaf with the sssk
-2nd-to-last row of patt I worked as k2togtbl instead of p2tog, to keep the spines intact.
-I did not work the last row of the hat - 6 sts -> 3 sts. I skipped the little icord and felt that 6 sts was fine to end on

I used stitch markers between each pattern repeat.
This is definitely a project where you do not want to stop in the middle of a row. I knit this on a roadtrip - love that! but a couple of times had to tink a row because I was talking to my mom and not keeping track of subtle changes in each row.
