This cowl design was inspired by the beautiful brick walkways around the University of Virginia campus, where I am currently a doctoral candidate. UVA was founded by Thomas Jefferson, who also designed the older sections of the grounds. He incorporated red brick in practical and visually interesting ways throughout the university.

The cowl is knit seamlessly in the round following charted instructions and uses 1 ball of Willa.

Gauge = 3.5 sts / inch in stockinette
