The designer posted the pattern in a thread on the Hats for Sailors forum. To my knowledge, there’s no official, downloadable pattern available.

For yardage reference: On the accent color (CC), I cast on, knitted 7 rows in garter stitch, 5 rows of k2p2 (k2 in MC, p2 in CC) from a new skein of yarn, and I have 90.7gr of yarn left in the skein. If you’ve got 25 yards of yarn for an accent color, you’ll have plenty.

Good grief! This is not that hard a pattern, and it’s lovely to knit. I just haven’t had any time.

I’m trying to knit 16 Hats for Sailors by the group’s November 11 deadline. It’s now the last day of February, and I’ve finished one. I’m doomed.

Still need to block.

(The hat looks large, but that’s because there’s no ribbing. It fits well in the recommended size 9 body, size 8 band, combination, but I might try 8/7 for the next one.)
