making a mimic (treasure chest monster) for etsy store. I’m very excited with how it is going so far! adding a zipper pull and red felt on the inside before adding eyeballs, tongue and teeth.

• Decided against eyeballs and tongue.
• used cardboard and hotglue to strengthen the box shape, used felt to line the box and teeth
• made “iron band” straps with metallic paton’s yarn and I had some gold buttons left over from another project I sewed into for rivet details.
