This pattern is incredibly clear and well-written! It looks complex, but this is quite an easy lace project.
I’ve blogged about this project here, here, and here.
Miyuki 8/0 seed beads, Transparent Gray AB: wherever beading is indicated in the pattern (approx 20g=780 beads)
Miyuki 6/0 seed beads, Opaque Cobalt AB: one in the center of each diamond in the diamond mesh (approx 18g=216 beads)
Miyuki 6/0 seed beads, S/L Aqua AB: one in each loop of the bind off. (approx 18g = 216 beads)
total of just over 1200 beads!
Finished size 92 x 25 inches (234 x 63.5 cm)
Modifications:
- Added beads to the centers of the diamonds in the diamond mesh.
- Added beads to the centerline of the mesh section in Chart I.
- Used a heavier weight contrast color yarn to bind off, and placed a bead at the center stitch of each crocheted loop.
If I were to knit this again, I would knit the shorter version. I would also lengthen the crochet loops in the bind off, as they get pulled rather flat during blocking.

Spent a couple of hours (maybe more) tinking back an entire 600-ish stitch row. sigh. From now on I intend to remember that there is a plain row following each pattern row!

A whole month later (lots of birding; not much knitting), finished Chart I and started binding off. I’m beading the bind off, so it’s a slow process. Binding off with Pure (fingering weight) instead of doubling the yarn as suggested in the pattern.
