Notes

This wonderfully creative and festive design was great fun to knit as a holiday mystery KAL.

I would have chosen colors quite differently had I known what it would look like ahead of time, but I’m also delighted with how my rather odd selection of colors plays together, and it gives me lots of ideas for future projects, so this was not a wasted effort! Since I don’t really need another shawl, I’m thinking about making it into a blanket.

My colors do interfere with the designer’s vision. Apologies to Barbara. the photographs make it even worse. My camera simply cannot capture the juicy, vibrant magenta and red-purples of WM Fuchsia and Petit Poison 5. It is so frustrating! This piece is gorgeous in real life.

I skipped Clue 4 because I won’t want the 3D elements if I make it into a blanket.

starting over: 72 rows in, I just realized I’ve messed up Section 1B, and I’m not thrilled with the colors, so I’ve chosen new ones and I’m going to start over at the beginning!
