For my dear friend Sue, who turns 50 this month.

Sometimes a very simple pattern can have major impact! This is a fun, fast, delightful knit. I substituted fingering for laceweight to make a slightly more substantial piece, and I love the texture created by the two different weights of yarn. I’m thinking of all kinds of color combinations to play off this intriguing texture. And it knits up so quickly that I can easily see myself making more as gifts.

This one is about 66 inches around, so it doubles up generously around the neck, and is gorgeously squishy and nice. The photos do NOT do it justice!

The Verdant Gryphon Odyssey is incredibly beautiful. It’s lofty and soft but springy, and the colors just glow.

If you’re wondering why this project has such an incredible number of faves, it’s because it was featured on Ravelry’s front page in early March 2015. The last photo is a screenshot. It was quite a thrill!
