A very cool and clever design! Can’t wait to wear it! I’ll definitely be making more of these.

I found an error in the pattern, and I made one slight modification.

Errata:
Section 3 should read:
Row 1 (RS): Using color A, k113.
Row 2 (WS): k1, p111, k1.

Modification: I decided to use the WS as the RS because I liked the look of the reverse garter stitch in these two colors. This meant I had to work an extra row in Section 2, in order to begin Section 3 on a RS row. In Section 4, I had to start picking up the stitches for the button band “backwards,” starting in the row below Section 3 and working my way down to the CO edge.

Also, my i-cord wasn’t nearly long enough, so I added about a foot to its length.

It’s a little too big; would definitely cast on fewer stitches if I were to make it for myself again.

I rated it “medium” for difficulty because, when I was new to knitting, I would have struggled with picking up stitches and the buttonholes and probably the 3-needle bindoff on Section 3…and it wasn’t that long ago that I was new to knitting, so I really do remember!
