Some good and some bad notes. For a change I decided before I make this for anyone else I’m going to make it for myself (and use it as an alternate to my store bought shower puffs).

I’ve heard good things about using cotton for these things and I still had some cotton left over and figured I’ll give it a go!

First the good: It works up really easily and the pattern is well written and easy to understand. I took roughly 3 days to complete (but i’m mostly just working in the evenings while watching one of our stories on TV). It looks really great and exactly like the picture on the pattern!

The bad: It’s an extremely dense puff, and with shower gel the gel just disappears and doesn’t foam at all. It also takes forever to dry (or rinse out the soap). I’m not sure whether a thinner cotton (or much larger hook) would make a difference.

I might try and throw it in the wash so that it can completely wash out the shower gel I tried to put on it … and then add a bell in the middle and convert it to a toy ball for my cat.
