The pattern is simple enough, but attention must be paid so everything lines up properly. There are no difficult stitches to be found, and the simplicity in its creation makes for simplicity in the lovely flowers falling down the shawl.
I look forward to seeing it made by those who will use a gradient yarn!
Hoping I can do the pattern justice. Looking forward to the test.
5/9 Received the pattern and selected a bunch of yarns from which I will choose as I go.
5/10 Starting this afternoon.
This shawl will definitely be a bit more time-consuming than the last test I did. The lovely little flowers made in chain stitches take time, but are so sweet! (WIP photo 1)
5/15 working at hotel while waiting for DH to finish work for the day. Running low on this yarn so will probably wrap this project for now. Just finished row 25. Putting photo up at this point. (WIP Photo 2)
5/17 just finished row 35. Adding another terrible night shot from the iPad. (WIP Photo 3)
5/18 just finished row 41 and second full skein of Charlemont. Three (big) rows to go. (WIP Photo 4)
5/19 winding third skein and then I’ll be off on the final rows… The final three (and a little bit) rows used a half skein (50 gms) of Charlemont.
5/20 blocking day, adding a photo pre block. Size at this point is 50 inches across widest and nearly 20 inches down spine. (pre-block photo)
Size while blocking, 26 inches down spine and 66 inches across.
Will attach it to the final pattern as soon as Siew releases it.
