This wrap is a knit ground with crochet border…
I’ll be starting as soon as the yarn arrives. CAN’T WAIT!
1/27 - Yarn is here and I’ve done the winding. Knitting part starts tomorrow!
1/28 - Swatching!
1/28 - Started! Have the Initial Increase and first 20 row decrease sections complete… going to do the next 20 row increase section and then it is just a matter of alternating those another 8 times for 9 peaks and then one more 70 row decrease section and the Knit ground is complete.
1/29 - three peaks complete. Love the yarn. LOVE. I haven’t worked with very much in dk weight so unfortunately I don’t have a lot to compare it with, but I am really finding it easy to work with. It isn’t splitty at all, it is totally smooshable and will make a terrific wrap from what I can tell so far. Onward. (photo of the three peaks with ball of edging beside is done in natural light - so colors differ from earlier photos)
1/30 - I’ve increased to 11 peaks in the body. I have just the 70 row decrease to do to complete this main knit section and then it is on to the crochet! Only a few minor errors, a few frogs and reknits in places, and mostly some really soothing and easy garter stitch over the course of the past couple of days. It’s been lovely! If the crochet section goes as easy, I could see myself making this several times!
2/2 finished the crochet border tonight. All photos thus far are pre-blocking! Will try to get blocked and finished photos tomorrow.
Fun pattern that can be made quickly, and the crochet border is fast and easy, though I wish it had a chart. All that reading and trying to keep track while The Doctor was running about… Lots of frogging and redoing was involved because I hadn’t the patience to just do it! ;)
Blocking size - 8” x 103”
