Notes

A friend of mine has a daughter that wants to cosplay as Pippin from LOTR at their local ComicCon. She asked me if I could make a scarf like Pippin wears in the movies but not being a knitter and having no crochet pattern available, I used the chart provided by alleycatscratch and just carried my colors over each row.

I originally tried to use crocheted “knit stitches” and even tried to figure out knitting again, lol, but it was just easier and quicker to use HDC stitches. I ended up folding the scarf in half, then stitching it together but keeping the seam to the back when I added the tassels to close the ends vs leaving it on the side.

It turned out pretty okay and hopefully she’ll enjoy being Pippin for the day! I’m going to try and get a pic out of my friend once the con is over! :D
