Mods: I reduced the length between the ribbing and the first lace repeat because I was anticipating some stretching in the long term due to the inelasticity. It did indeed stretch the tiniest bit during blocking which impressed me. There’s plenty of room for it to stretch over time without becoming too long.
I omitted the I-cord tie under the bust for a few reasons, the main being that I was less than thrilled at the thought of knitting that much I-cord. I had planned on using a ribbon instead, but now I suspect that adding a tie under the bust would interrupt the draping effect too much.
Also, I knit the tank in the round up to the underarms (actually, that’s not true. I knit it up to the shoulders in the round. And then realized I had no arm holes and tearfully ripped back all that lace. Who’s a total tubesock? me)

J’ai raccourcit la portion entre le 2x2 et le premier panneau de dentelle car je m’attendais à ce le débardeur s’étire et s’allonge au long terme. J’ai omis le cordon pour plusieurs raisons, entre autre parce que je déteste tricoter les I-cords. J’avais l’intention d’utiliser un ruban, mais en fin de compte je préfère le look sans serrage sous le buste. J’ai aussi tricoté le tout en un morceau sur des aiguilles circulaires jusqu’aux aisselles (non je mens, je l’ai tricoté comme ça jusqu’aux épaules avant de me rendre compte qu’il n’y avait pas de trous pour les bras! Merde que c’est gênant ça!! )
