Pretty much followed the pattern for the other machine knit hats here.

Made it 5 or so rows shorter.

Hand manipulated needles for the chart.

Forgot to increase tension to 8 on hem, making it snug and the hat by comparison cinch up and look like a beanie.

Also tried decreasing a second time to make the cinch hole smaller, but it was pulling too much on the stitches, and with the machine already maxed out with light worsted yarn, the stitches fell off making it a nightmare and a chore to fix. Plus there were huge gaps and it was dumb. Mostly covered up by the color being black and the pom pom on top.
