Inspiration
I’m going to approximate this Oeuf sweater using this pattern, without the pattern’s pocket. Made it first for Carter to run through the pattern once with this yarn.

If I did this again from scratch I might:

• use a smaller gauge yarn for more resolution
• use a fluffier yarn like an or mohair alpaca blend
• duplicate stitch the eyes
• use st markers every 5 or 10 sts during intarsia

Gauge
Before machine wash and dry on 3.5mm needles 22sts = 4”
After washing shrunk to 25sts = 4” so went up to 3.75mm
Should be about right to pattern gauge.

Size
Carter’s 2T was huge on Izzy at 11mo, but roomy and good for him at 12mo (he’s huge!). So… I’ll do 18mo for her to grow into.
This came out pretty big! I’d do the rolled hems next time just cuz they highlight the design with their simplicity.

Pattern
Lengthen by 20%: 70r = 57r x 120%
Increase the body from under arm to bottom by 1in per side for more tunic shape.

Chart
Printed the sweater image and taped it to a Google Sheets file whose cell sizes I adjusted for gauge.
Using the monitor like a light box, I pasted a black cell around the edges of the pattern, made adjustments and filled in.
