Calculations for 12mo: (for $6.50 the pattern should do these for you!)

• 4 purl ridges.
• First set: every 3rd & 4th st, alternating, is a kfb. Count near the end of the row to see where do the final inc.
• Total 7 purl ridges.
• Second set: every 4th st & 5th st, alternating, is a kfb. Count near the end of the row to see where do the final inc.
• Total 9 purl ridges.

The garter hem on the bottom is wider than the cable section and was ridiculous. I didn’t have smaller needles so I frogged it and on the first purl row decreased 20% (p3, p2tog). Worked pretty well, but now the bend is at the penultimate cable row, weirdly.

I made a bunch of mistakes on the cables, but this pattern hides them well, especially since I made most of them on the back. The first cable row is shifted by 3 sts so it looks weird at the transition from the garter yoke.

Making 12 mo size for an 18 mo old kid cuz i’m using worsted with a bigger gauge. Even so, it came out about size 2T. So, not the tank top I was going for for this summer but a cute tunic anyway.
